It's a bit like a fairytale. Once upon a time there was a boy, whose name nobody knew how to spell, and he met a girl, whose name nobody knew how to spell either. They dated secretly for a few months, swapping tales of what it's like to be on a reality TV show and sharing tips about much hair gel to use to make sure that everybody knows they're so cool,not even gravity can hold them down .
Then, as rumours of their romance began to spread, they finally came out and admitted it. Teenage and not-so-teenage girls around the world began to cry. Love-heart-shaped pupils flickered and dyed in the eyes of millions. And somebody, somewhere, who definitely wasn't in the 3am offices, may have crossed their fingers and hoped that it would all come to a sticky end in the near future.
But it looks like it didn't work. Because Zayn Malik's feelings for Perrie Edwards are unconquerable. So unconquerable, in fact, that now the One Direction singer has even declared his LOVE for her. On Twitter. In front of over four million followers.
And in case you didn't notice - there are two kisses and a smiley face there. Which is a sign of actual, real, grown-up-and-long-term commitment. We hear* Miley Cyrus sent two kissesand a smiley face to Liam just before he proposed to her. So that's probably the next thing on the cards for this two. Maybe. That, or maybe just a date which isn't carried out in total and utter secrecy.
The couple, who have been reportedly seeing each other since February and who we spotted sneaking out of Perrie's London flat in the early hours of the morning back in Maysound like they're happy as a pair of clams. Especially because - with Zayn back in the UK at the moment for a well earned break from the One Direction US tour - he's probably even got time to bake his girlfriend a cake. Or just tweet her some pictures of one. Who knows what kids do these days.
